....Way back in the twentieth century Rosalind and her husband, along with two friends sailed their 44' yawl Nightingale across the north Atlantic from New york to Oban, Scotland. Their friends left and they took Nightingale across the Scottish Highlands via the Caledonian Canal to Inverness. They left her there for the winter and returned home.
... This was the beginning of a seven year journey in which they sailed the entire European and Mediterranean coasts from Scotland, Norway and Sweden in the north to Greece, Israel and Turkey in the south, leaving the boat in a different country each year and flying home to tend to business at the end of each summer.
....They made many friends along the way and have some priceless memories. She did a lot of sketches in the cities, towns villages that they visited, and some of them are offered here.
